Our Detox Weekends aren’t about running you ragged and starving you, they are a re-education.

We’ll introduce you to a healthier way of eating, and teach you simple changes to your diet that will give you more energy, help prevent diseases such as diabetes and ultimately make any excess weight fall off. We also want to help you get more exercise into your lives by letting you try several different and exciting activities over the weekend which demonstrate the fun you can have getting fit. You’ll leave us armed with knowledge, inspiration and hopefully new hobbies and friends.

Arriving on Friday night, you’ll enjoy an invigorating evening session before two days of activities and learning which will inspire you to find the fun in exercise and eating well. You’ll really feel the benefits of the detox as we remove caffeine, processed foods and refined sugars from your diet and show you how easy it can be to rid yourself of these damaging addictions forever.

Kit List

In order for you to get the most from your experience there is some kit which we consider essential.  If you would like advice on any of the kit you don’t already possess then we can point you in the direction of good shops local to you.  Bear in mind that there are full laundry facilities on site so if you don’t own the full advised complement of gym kit, you can launder it at the end of the day.

 

  • Running Shoes
  • Walking Boots (which lace up to your ankles with a robust sole and good grip)
  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Waterproof Trousers
  • Small Rucksack (preferably with a waist strap)
  • Thick Socks (for wearing with your walking boots)
  • Fleece Tops/Warm Tops
  • Warm Hat
  • Warm Gloves
  • Loose fitting trousers / Leggings (which you can wear comfortably all day)
  • Loose fitting tops / Gym tops / Thermal base layers / T-shirts
  • Shorts (if you prefer wearing them for activities)
  • Sunglasses and Sun cream
  • Water Bottle
  • Ear Plugs (for light sleepers)

 

Don’t be alarmed by how big this kit list is. If you have all this kit it allows us to be flexible with the activities we provide so we can react to adverse weather, energy levels and clients activity wishes. If there is something you really can’t get hold of, let us know and we may be able to lend it to you.
